Day 1 : (Dharamkot) Local Sightseeing
Reach Dharamkot, a quaint little area that is now becoming popular for its unique location. Nestled in the lap of Dhauladhar, this place is bestowed with all the wonders of nature. Freshen up, take a rest and get ready to explore. Today, you will see the most beautiful buildings of Dharamshala- Dalai Lama Temple, St John Church, Bhagsu Waterfall. The ambiance and aura will keep you in touch with the Tibetan culture and its intricacies. Later in the evening, you can go to one of the cafes, where you can sit and chill. We would recommend you to go to Jimmy’s Cafe and Bakery to have a waffle some experience. Also, don’t forget to have honey and lemon tea. It will definitely invigorate you. Come back to the guest house. In no time, you will be sitting around the warmth of the bonfire. Keep it in mind- best discussions happen around it. Meanwhile, don’t stop eating the taste buds teasing food that our cook makes. We assure you this, you will be forcing yourself to not to have one more bite.
Day 2 : (Triund Trek) Triund Trek
As the Triund and Snowline Trek begins from Dharamkot, it takes you through a lush forest. Refreshing scents of various trees will be a feast for your senses. As you hike uphill, you will get panoramic views of the Himachali landscape. High mountain peaks, topped with snow, and shining under sunlight, will be a treat for your eyes. You can elongate the 5-hour trek and admire nature at your own pace as you move towards your destination. On reaching Triund Hill, you will witness one of the best sunsets ever. Remember to capture this amazing sight in your cameras. Pose with your companions against the backdrop of the setting sun; this will make perfect memorabilia of the sojourn. The sights from here are one of the highlights of the Triund and Snowline Trek in McLeodganj. Here, light a campfire, and spend the night under the canopy of stars.
Day 3 : (Snow Line) Triund to Snow Line Trek (6 km)
Open your eyes to a mesmerizing sunrise, and breathe in the fresh air of the mountains; later, begin your journey to Snowline. At this point in the Triund Trek in McLeodganj, you will get to experience snow as it is actually a glacier! Make a giant snowman or throw snowballs at your loved ones. This, of course, calls for another photo session with friends or family, playing with the snow. After having fun, enjoy an overnight stay amidst nature here.
Day 4 : (Dharamkot) Snowline to Dharamkot (14 km)
Beginning early in the morning, start trekking downhill and reach Dharamkot. This is where this experience of trekking near Dharamsala ends.
